Referring to Puerto Rico, we can not help but think of the hot Reggaeton dances and images of beautiful dancers with sexy movements which are often seen lively at street performances at the Carnival festival. We can only see pictures of the festive excitement of Puerto Rico through the TV screen. Now “the real wind from Puerto Rico” will officially sweep over Saigonbellydance. The wind-bringer is Leyla Zahar-a native Puerto Rico- who will co-operate with us to offer The Bellydance WORKSHOP 2011 from 27/6- 5 / 7 at Saigonbellydance.
Leyla Zahar came from the commonwealthy land-Puerto Rico, where is famous for its traditional folk festivals colorful, cheerful music combined with images of extremely hot dancers. Leyla Zahar is one of the pioneers in guiding and teaching the oriental bellydance of the East in Puerto Rico. She began her artistic path pretty early. Only 4 years old, she followed her grandmother-a native Lebanese ,and received a very enthusiastic guide, but equally harsh words of her grandmother. Then she continued to receive instruction from teachers as well as a famous actor of Raks Sharki as Sohair Zaki, Ibrahilm Farrah, Madame Busi, Nagwa Fouad, … By this time, she has been working as a performer for 30 years and over 20 years experience in teaching.
She has achieved many outstanding accomplishments such as:
-Belly Dancer of the Year 1999 contest at Belly Dancer of the Year Pageant.
-Ms & Mr. America of the Belly Dance contest.
-The award of Puerto Rico’s Distinguished Young Personality in 1998 and many other awards.
If you are studying Bellydance, you can’t ignore three classes: Bollywood, American Tribal Bellydance and Bellydance.
The students of Sexydance classes shouldn’t miss two classes: Reggaeton Samba Carnival which are extremely hot and suitable for you.
Hawaiian class is even more wonderful because they are suitable for both sexydance and bellydance classes.

One more interesting information for you, who love the art of belly dance and other flaming dances such as Reggaeton, Samba Carnival, Hawaiian, Bollywood, … Ms. Leyla Zahar has agreed the Saigonbellydance’s invitation and will participate in the Ahlan wa Sahlan cafe in 3 days 27 June, 30 June and 5 July. Every night Ms. Leyla will perform 7 songs includes all dances which will be guided in the Workshop.
